Grad school. What comes to your mind when you hear those words? I don't know about you, but for me it's stress, sleepless nights, and even more stress. Every time students get advice from graduate students, it seems to always be the same. They say that grad school is tough, aside from that, we all know how competitive it can be to get in. From GPA, to GRE scores, and letters of recommendation the stress seems never ending. Grad school is VERY stressful, especially within this field of study. Some professors have even said that there will be nights when you just cry or have no idea what you're doing but, guess what? It'll all be worth it in the end. You'll figure out what you need to know and you'll be the best at it. Someone once said if you like what you do, you never work a day in your life. Isn't that the goal? This is the time to figure out whether you want to take a clinical approach or more of a research type approach because you will be doing this for the next two years. Decide whether you want to know all the facts and research methods or if you want to be in a clinical setting and practice hands on methods. It is important to consider this when searching and applying for a specific Grad school or Master's program. remember that no matter what, do what is best for you and for your future not what you think is the easiest way out. Getting into grad school is a big step so you don't want to through that all away simply because it gets bumpy along the way.
