Where are all the SLP jobs?

New York City: New Yorks high concentration of Spanish speakers means that SLPs who know the language are especially sought after.
Anchorage, Alaska: Demand is high because it has a hard time attracting people/ professionals due to the weather conditions.
Hawaii: It's expensive to move to and has many military bases and veterans who need speech therapy.
Arizona & Florida: Are both places with large senior citizen populations meaning patients who need help after stokes, brain injuries, or cancer.
Washington D.C.: Has low unemployment rates and several pediatric specialty hospitals in the area.
That doesn't go to say that these are the only places where SlPs are needed. These are just some places that have a high demand for them. SLPs are always needed everywhere, it is up to you to choose the place and environment that work best for you.
